‘Wahi Hum Goli Maar Dete Use’: Amitabh Bachchan Reacts After Ujjwal Nikam Says Kasab Came to See Him

Amitabh Bachchan reacted sharply after public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam recalled Ajmal Kasab allegedly saying he had come to Mumbai to see the actor.

The exchange took place during Kaun Banega Crorepati 18’s special episode, Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam, which featured Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi.

While discussing the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks trial, Bachchan questioned why it took nearly four years for Kasab to be executed.

“Usse toh wahi gaad dena chahiye tha. Itna waqt kyun laga?” Bachchan asked.

Nikam Recalls Meeting Kasab in Court

Nikam recalled seeing Kasab in court for the first time during the trial.

“Ajmal Kasab jab court mein aaya toh woh mujhe ghoor ke dekh raha tha, main use dekh raha tha,” Nikam said.

He also recounted several claims allegedly made by Kasab during the proceedings, including his denial of being arrested in connection with the 26/11 attacks.

According to Nikam, Kasab initially claimed that he had been arrested on November 6 at Juhu Chowpatty.

Kasab Allegedly Said He Came to See Bachchan

Nikam then recalled another statement allegedly made by Kasab, saying the accused told him that he had come to Mumbai to see Amitabh Bachchan.

“Aapko tajjub hoga jo aage usne kaha tha ki main toh Amitabh ji ko dekhne ke liye aaya tha. Ye sach mein hua hai,” Nikam told Bachchan.

Bachchan responded, “Nahi nahi, sir agar woh aaya hoga toh woh hamare ghar se jaane wala nahi tha. Wahi hum goli maar dete use.”

Kasab Also Claimed He Was a Minor

Nikam also recalled that Kasab allegedly claimed he was a minor and accused the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) of arresting him.

His claim about his age became a legal issue during the trial, with the court required to establish his age before proceedings could proceed on that basis.

Who Was Ajmal Kasab?

Ajmal Kasab was the lone surviving attacker captured during the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. Nikam led the prosecution in the case, which began in 2009.

Kasab was convicted and sentenced to death in 2010. He was executed in November 2012.
