Alia Bhatt opens up about having ADHD, says her body starts heating up in social gatherings
Actor Alia Bhatt recently revealed her ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) diagnosis, crediting her sister for inspiring her to speak openly about her mental health. She clarified that while she has been diagnosed with ADHD, she is not on medication.
In a recent in-depth conversation with podcaster Jay Shetty, Bhatt shared her experiences with ADHD, stating that she feels courageous to discuss her struggles when she hears others facing similar challenges. She described how social gatherings often made her body heat up and react physically, and how she sometimes found it difficult to focus and maintain attention.
Earlier in February, the Udta Punjab actress attempted cooking for the first time. She shared a heartfelt video of herself preparing her favorite dish, Mac and Cheese, following her mother Soni Razdan’s signature recipe. The vlog, posted on Instagram, captured a special moment between the mother-daughter duo as they bonded over their love for cooking.
Before beginning the recipe, Alia reminisced about her childhood memories, recalling how she and her sister Shaheen grew up enjoying their mother's delicious dishes—meals that Soni continues to prepare for Alia’s daughter, Raha.
On the work front, the 31-year-old actress will next be seen in filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly anticipated film Love and War, alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
