Alia Bhatt's classy reply to Cannes troll wins heart

Alia Bhatt’s calm and classy response to an online troll after her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival 2026 has grabbed attention on social media.
The actor attended the prestigious festival for the second time this year and impressed fans with her fashion choices on the red carpet. However, a video from Cannes went viral in which some social media users claimed that international paparazzi had ignored her during the event.
Following her appearance, Alia shared a reel on Instagram showing her elegant ivory silk saree-gown look. In the comments section, a user wrote, “What a pity, no one noticed you,” along with a laughing emoji. Responding to the comment in a graceful yet witty manner, Alia replied, “Why pity love? You noticed me :).”
Her response quickly went viral, with many fans praising the actor for handling the situation with confidence and kindness. Several users called it a “savage” and “perfect” reply, while others said she looked stunning throughout the festival and did not need validation from anyone.
Actor Aly Goni also came out in support of Alia and criticised people for trolling her. He said Indians should celebrate artists who represent the country on international platforms instead of pulling them down.
At Cannes, Alia wore multiple outfits that received praise online, including a peach gown, an ivory saree-gown, and a blue Cinderella-inspired dress. Celebrities like Karan Johar and Priyanka Chopra also appreciated her looks.
Meanwhile, Alia is preparing for the release of her upcoming spy-action film Alpha, which is set to hit theatres on July 10, 2026.
