In a first-of-its-kind move, Uber has teamed up with Indian Railways to launch managed ride operations at Ahmedabad and Howrah railway stations, providing seamless last-mile connectivity for millions of passengers.

Ahmedabad Division’s DRM announced the initiative on social media, calling it a “major step towards a better travel experience”, and highlighting that passengers will now enjoy safe, reliable, and uninterrupted transport options directly from the station.

Under this partnership, Uber will operate from dedicated parking zones integrated with station infrastructure, ensuring smooth access for riders and drivers. The collaboration is expected to enhance convenience for travellers, reduce waiting times, and create additional earning opportunities for drivers.

This marks Uber’s first-ever managed service at any Indian railway station, setting a precedent for improved urban mobility and smarter travel across the country.
