Tata becomes India’s first conglomerate to cross ₹30 lakh cr mark

The collective market capitalization of Tata Companies surpassed the historic mark of ₹30 lakh cr on Feb 6, a result of the record boom in India’s stock market at the beginning of this year.

Tata Motors and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) are running at historic highs during this tenure.

In around a month, the market cap of Tata Group’s 22 listed companies grew from ₹27.91 lakh cr on Dec 29, 2023, to ₹30.44 lakh cr.

With this feat, Tata Group became the first conglomerate in India to surpass this figure.

Till now, the group’s market capitalization has seen a rise of 9%. The highest contributors to this surge include Tata Investment Corp at a 30% rise, Tata Motors at 20%, Automobile Corp of Goa at 23%, Tata Power at 18%, Tata Consultancy Services at 10%, and Indian Hotels Company Ltd at 15%.

TCS market capitalization crosses ₹15 lakh cr

The market capitalization of India’s second-most valuable company, TCS, crossed the ₹15 lakh crore mark on Feb 6.

TCS was the top gainer among Sensex stocks, jumping 4.1% to trade at ₹4,137.

TCS’s market cap now stands at ₹15.13 lakh crore.
