The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has provided data for employer-wise H-1B visa approvals for the Financial Year 2024, where India-based firms made it to the top five companies with the most H-1B visa approvals.

The H-1B visa programme allows skilled professionals from other countries to work temporarily in the United States.

For FY 2024 till September, Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) were the second and fifth firms with the most H-1B approvals, respectively.

Infosys was granted 8,140 H-1B visas, while TCS bagged 5,274.

Notably, a total of 1,30,000 H-1B visas were issued by USCIS between April and September 2024.

Amazon received the highest number of 9,265 H-1B visas in the US.

Following Amazon was Infosys, and in third place was Cognizant with 6,321 visas. Google fourth with 5,364 visas, closely followed by TCS.

Apart from Infosys and TCS, India’s HCL also made it to the list, with the ninth-most number of H-1B visas approved (2,953).

Among the list of top 50 employers receiving the highest number of H-1B visas were two other Indian firms, Wipro at 24th place with 1,634 visas and Tech Mahindra at 31st place with 1,199 H-1B approvals.
