An Indian software developer has reportedly captured widespread attention online after sharing how he landed multiple offers from top global tech companies despite facing academic setbacks during college.

Instagram user Kartik Modi revealed in a video that he once failed a crucial subject, Data Structures and Algorithms, widely regarded as essential for cracking technical interviews.

The backlog dented his confidence at the time, especially as his peers were preparing for campus placements while he focused on clearing the subject, as per his video. Instead of letting the failure define him, Kartik reportedly chose to reset his approach. He revisited the fundamentals, rebuilt his concepts from scratch, and committed to consistent daily practice solving one or two meaningful problems each day rather than studying in bursts.

He also emphasised the importance of experience, attending numerous interviews and treating each rejection as a learning opportunity. By identifying his weaknesses and steadily improving, Kartik eventually secured offers from major companies including Google, Microsoft, Uber, Meta, Atlassian, and Amazon in the UK.

Sharing his journey on social media, he encouraged students not to be discouraged by backlogs or low grades, stressing that persistence and discipline can transform outcomes. His story has resonated with many online, with viewers praising the practical advice of staying consistent and learning from failure.
