Kedarnath Dham Adorned With 12 Lakh Rudraksha Beads To Fulfil Late Yogesh Patel’s Final Wish

Kedarnath Dham was adorned with garlands made from 12 lakh Rudraksha beads as the family and members of the Satyam Shivam Sundaram Samiti fulfilled the uncompleted vow of late Yogeshbhai Patel, founder of the Vadodara-based organisation and a Gujarat MLA.

Patel had resolved to adorn Kedarnath Dham with Rudraksha garlands, but passed away in 2026 before he could fulfil the vow. His family and the Satyam Shivam Sundaram Samiti subsequently took up the task of completing his final wish.

According to Mukesh Dixit of the Satyam Shivam Sundaram Samiti, around 12 lakh Rudraksha beads were specially brought from Nepal to Vadodara for the initiative. The beads were then strung into garlands over a period of two months at the Jagnath Temple in Vadodara.

Several residents of Vadodara also participated in the initiative and contributed their time and efforts towards preparing the garlands.

Patel's wife Sarojben Patel, son Rakesh Patel and his two daughters, along with members of the Satyam Shivam Sundaram Samiti, had committed to completing his unfulfilled vow. The garlands were prepared through the collective efforts of the family and the committee.

Kedarnath Dham Decorated On Final Monday Of Shravan

The vow was fulfilled during the holy month of Shravan, with Kedarnath Dham decorated with the Rudraksha garlands on the final Monday of the month.

With the completion of the decoration, Patel's family said his final wish had been realised.

The family and the committee also expressed gratitude to the people of Vadodara and the volunteers associated with the organisation who contributed to the initiative to decorate the Kedarnath Dham premises with Rudraksha beads.
