Amreli Congress Leader Sandeep Dhanani Booked for Attacking Youth with Tea Kettle

Amreli City Congress president Sandeep Dhanani allegedly attacked a youth with tea kettle at a shop near Savarkundla bypass, leaving him seriously injured.

Youth Sustains Head Injuries in Tea Shop Attack

The incident took place at a tea shop near Savarkundla bypass in Amreli. According to the complaint, Dhanani, the brother of former Leader of Opposition Paresh Dhanani, allegedly attacked a youth identified as Dharmakumar Joshipura.

The incident caused a commotion in the area, while the alleged assault was captured on a CCTV camera installed at the tea shop.

Injured Youth Receives Nine Stitches

During the alleged attack, Dhanani reportedly struck Joshipura on the head with five tea kettles. The youth sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Amreli Civil Hospital for treatment.

Doctors administered nine stitches to treat his injuries.

Police Register Case, Begin Investigation

Following the incident, Joshipura approached the police and a complaint was registered against Sandeep Dhanani. Investigators are examining the CCTV footage and gathering evidence as part of the inquiry.

The alleged assault has sparked concern locally, given Dhanani’s position as Amreli city Congress president.
