In Sola, a 13-year-old boy allegedly riding a motorcycle without a licence or permit collided with an Activa, injuring himself and the scooter rider. Police have registered a case against the boy’s father for allegedly allowing the minor to ride the vehicle.

In the second incident in Vatva, a 22-year-old youth who had taken a lift on a motorcycle died after the bike allegedly slipped while he was returning from work.

Minor Allegedly Riding Bike Hits Activa In Sola

The first accident occurred near the Radhakrishna Temple opposite Shreeya Society in Sola at around 10.15 pm on August 30.

According to the police complaint, Arvindbhai Jethabhai Parmar, a resident of Sardar Awas Yojana in Sola, allegedly allowed his 13-year-old son to ride a motorcycle despite the boy having no driving licence or permit.

The boy was reportedly riding with his brother as a pillion rider when he lost control of the motorcycle while negotiating a turn and collided with an oncoming Activa.

The Activa rider, 19-year-old Mishwa Prajapati of Kalol, and the two brothers fell on the road. Mishwa sustained injuries to her leg, while the minor suffered a serious head injury and was taken to Civil Hospital for treatment.

Based on a complaint filed by Unarmed Head Constable Bharatkumar Prahladbhai of the 'A' Traffic Police Station, police registered a case against the boy’s father and began an investigation.

22-Year-Old Dies After Bike Slips In Vatva

In the second accident, 22-year-old Vikram Omprakash Prajapati, originally from Deoria in Uttar Pradesh and currently working on electrical panels at Pushpak Estate in Vatva GIDC, died after the motorcycle on which he was travelling allegedly slipped.

Vikram was returning home from work when he reportedly took a lift from a motorcycle rider. The bike allegedly slipped on the road from Gujarat Offset towards Vandravut Lake in Vatva after being ridden at high speed and negligently, according to the complaint.

Vikram fell onto the road and suffered a serious injury to the back of his head. He was taken to Asarwa Civil Hospital in a 108 ambulance, where doctors declared him dead during treatment.

After completing his son’s last rites, Vikram’s father, Omprakash Shivpujan Prajapati, approached the traffic police and filed a complaint against the unidentified motorcycle rider.

Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
