Two men were injured after a 30-year-old man allegedly attacked them with a knife following a dispute in Fatehnagar, near Bombay Hotel in Danilimda, on Sunday afternoon.
According to Danilimda police, the incident took place around 1.30 pm on August 23 when the complainant, Rizwan Aslam Ansari, 30, was returning home from work for lunch.
Ansari told police that his nephew, Mohammad Saif, had earlier got into a fight with the accused, Israr Akbarbhai Ansari, a resident of Fatehnagar. During the altercation, Saif allegedly slapped Israr, causing his nose to bleed.
Ansari later encountered Israr in Fatehnagar and questioned him about the earlier altercation with his nephew.

When Toufiq Nizamuddin Ansari, who lives in the same locality, intervened to help Rizwan, the accused allegedly attacked him as well, stabbing him on a finger of his right hand.
Residents who gathered at the spot intervened and separated the men, following which Israr allegedly left the area.
