Tractor Weaponised, Sharp Blades Drawn: Four Injured as Family Road Dispute Turns Violent in Sanand Village

A simmering dispute over a village road turned into a bloody brawl between extended family members in Daran village of Sanand taluka, Ahmedabad Rural district, on Wednesday. More than four people sustained injuries after rival factions of brothers attacked each other with sharp-edged weapons and wooden sticks, leaving two victims battling for their lives in hospital.

Tractor Used in Attempt to Mow Down Crowd During Rampage

The confrontation erupted when an argument over access to a village path rapidly escalated into open violence. As tempers flared between the two groups belonging to the same community, attackers pulled out sharp weapons and heavy wooden poles, launching a vicious assault in full public view.

Panic surged through Daran village when one of the warring factions allegedly attempted to run over bystanders and rivals with a tractor. The vehicle was driven directly toward people gathered at the scene, scattering onlookers and escalating the chaos before police intervention.

Changodar Police Detain Four, Deploy Extra Force in Daran

Alerted to the violent clash, a heavy contingent from the Changodar Police Station rushed to Daran village to disperse the crowd and restore order. Emergency medical teams shifted all injured individuals to a nearby medical facility, where doctors confirmed two remain in critical condition.

Police have detained four suspects in connection with the violence and deployed additional armed personnel across the village to prevent retaliatory attacks. Officers have opened a formal inquiry to map out the exact timeline of the clash and identify every individual involved in the assault and tractor attack.
