Three Men Injured After Speeding Car Hits Activa On Gota Service Road

Three friends travelling on an Activa scooter were injured after a speeding car allegedly rammed into their two-wheeler on the service road near Gota on the night of August 21. The car driver fled the spot after the collision, police said.

The incident took place around 11.30 pm on the Gota service road and was captured on CCTV cameras.

According to a police official, the three men — Shailesh Vimal Yadav, Bipin Yadav and Shivam Yadav — were travelling on the same Activa when an unidentified white car allegedly collided head-on with their two-wheeler. 

All three fell from the scooter and sustained injuries. Two of them suffered minor injuries, while the extent of the injuries sustained by the third person is being ascertained.

Shailesh Yadav runs a clothing shop in Gota, while Bipin and Shivam work at the shop. The three had reportedly gone for dinner at Hotel Khodiyar and were returning home to Gota when the accident occurred.

Driver Allegedly Flees Without Stopping

The impact caused the three men to fall on the road, following which the unidentified driver allegedly sped away without stopping to assist them.

CCTV footage captured the collision and the subsequent escape of the car. Police are examining the footage to identify the vehicle and its driver.

Traffic Police Begin Probe

S.G.-1 Traffic Police registered a case regarding the incident on Sunday, two days after the accident, after CCTV footage of the collision went viral on social media.

Police are examining the footage and other available evidence to identify the car and its driver. Further investigation is under way.
