The complaint was filed by Vikas Prajapati (26), a resident of Naroda, who reported that 160 iron shuttering components used for construction had been stolen from the site.
Following the complaint, multiple police teams were formed to investigate the case. During the probe, officers analysed footage from nearly 200 CCTV cameras covering routes leading from Charodi towards Dholka while also gathering inputs through local intelligence.
Accused Traced To Dholka
Based on technical surveillance and information from local sources, police tracked the suspects to Dholka, where they were detained. During questioning, the accused allegedly confessed to the theft.
The arrested men have been identified as Abdulshah Bhikhusha Diwan (25), Imran Khan Ayub Khan Pathan (27) and Salman Khan Niwaz Khan Pathan (33), all residents of Dholka in Ahmedabad district.
Material And Vehicle Recovered
Police recovered all 160 stolen iron shuttering pieces valued at ₹1.6 lakh. They also seized a Mahindra Bolero Pick-up worth ₹1.5 lakh, which was allegedly used to transport the stolen material.
The total value of the recovered property has been estimated at ₹3.1 lakh.
Probe Continues
Police said Imran Khan Pathan has a previous prohibition case registered at Dholka Police Station, while Salman Khan Pathan also has a prior criminal case registered at the same police station.
A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and further investigation is underway to determine whether the accused were involved in similar thefts in the area.
