Sabarmati Railway Services Hit by Foot Overbridge Construction; Check Cancelled and Diverted Trains

Rail traffic at Sabarmati railway station will be affected on Sunday, September 13, 2026, due to construction work for two new foot overbridges (FOBs). Western Railway will undertake a special traffic block at the station to facilitate the construction work and improve passenger movement.

As a result, two trains will remain fully cancelled on September 13, while two others will operate via alternative routes.

Two Intercity Trains Cancelled

The following trains will remain cancelled on September 13 due to the traffic block at Sabarmati station:

• Train No. 22959 Vadodara–Jamnagar Intercity
• Train No. 22960 Jamnagar–Vadodara Intercity

Two Trains to Run on Diverted Routes

Two trains travelling towards or from Rajkot and Ahmedabad will operate on alternative routes instead of their scheduled paths.

Train No. 16613 Rajkot–Coimbatore Express: On September 13, the train will operate via Viramgam–Katosan Road–Kalol–Sabarmati Broad Gauge–Ahmedabad, instead of its regular Viramgam–Sabarmati–Ahmedabad route.

Train No. 22718 Secunderabad–Rajkot Express: The train, which departed from Secunderabad on September 12, will operate via Ahmedabad–Sabarmati Broad Gauge–Kalol–Katosan Road–Viramgam, instead of its scheduled Ahmedabad–Sabarmati–Viramgam route.
