The upcoming mechanism leverages real-time GPS coordinates attached to uploaded images via the 'AMC Seva App' or the 'CCRS App'. Once a citizen submits a photo of a pothole, road surface damage, or damaged footpath, the system uses location data to instantly pinpoint the exact spot, identify the corresponding ward and zone, and automatically assign the work order to the responsible engineer.

In cases where live GPS coordinates are unavailable, the platform will utilize Google location data and Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping based on nearby landmarks provided by the user to route the grievance to the correct department.

Beyond location tracking, the integrated artificial intelligence automatically categorizes the nature of the road fault from the photograph. To prevent administrative clutter, an AI-powered clustering feature will group duplicate complaints originating from the same location, allowing municipal maintenance crews to address recurring issues efficiently in a single operation.

Transparency via WhatsApp Updates From Start To Finish

Civic officials are building end-to-end tracking into the new platform to improve accountability. As soon as a resident logs a complaint, a unique token number will be generated and dispatched directly to their mobile phone via WhatsApp.

Upon completion of repair work, the system will send "before and after" photographs through WhatsApp, allowing citizens to verify that the reported pothole or cave-in has been properly fixed before the complaint is officially marked as closed.
