Naroda Police Arrest Rajasthan Man With 234g Cocaine Worth Over ₹1.17 Crore

Naroda Police arrested a Rajasthan resident after allegedly recovering 234 grams of cocaine worth more than ₹1.17 crore from him near the Naroda GIDC area, officials said.

Acting on a specific tip-off, police teams kept watch near Naroda GIDC for a suspected drug carrier. During the operation, officers intercepted a man identified as Haresh Sain, who was allegedly behaving suspiciously.

A search of Sain allegedly led to the recovery of 234 grams of cocaine, which police valued at more than ₹1.17 crore in the illegal market.

Suspect allegedly arrived from Rajasthan by bus

According to the preliminary investigation, Sain is a native of Rajasthan and had allegedly travelled to Ahmedabad on a private bus while carrying the drug consignment.

Police are now investigating whether he was allegedly working only as a carrier or had a more direct role in the wider drug network.

Police trace supplier and intended recipient

Investigators are trying to establish where Sain allegedly obtained the cocaine and whom he was supposed to deliver it to in Ahmedabad.

Police are also examining his mobile phone, contacts and previous criminal record to identify possible links with other people involved in the alleged drug supply chain.

Naroda Police have registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and launched further investigation.
