Mother, One-Year-Old Son Burnt To Death After Car Overturns, Catches Fire Near Dholera

A woman and her one-year-old son were burnt to death after the car they were travelling in overturned and caught fire on the Ahmedabad-Bhavnagar Expressway near Dholera on Tuesday evening, police said.

According to preliminary information, the accident occurred when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn. The car caught fire moments after the crash, trapping the occupants inside.

The woman and her son were unable to escape the burning vehicle and died at the spot, police said.

Firefighters Rush To Spot

Locals alerted the police and fire services following the accident. Emergency teams rushed to the spot and firefighters brought the blaze under control.

Police secured the area and recovered the bodies from the charred vehicle. The bodies were subsequently sent for post-mortem examination.
