McDonald’s Outlet Sealed in Ahmedabad After Customer Claims Non-Veg Burger Delivered Despite Veg Order

A McDonald’s outlet in Ahmedabad’s Naroda area has been sealed by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) after a customer alleged that he was served a non-vegetarian burger despite placing an online order for a vegetarian meal.

The action was taken by the civic body’s Food Department following a complaint that has sparked concerns over food handling and order accuracy at one of the city’s fast-food outlets.

Customer Alleges Mix-Up in Online Order

According to officials, the customer had ordered a vegetarian burger through an online delivery platform. However, after receiving the order, he allegedly found that the package contained a non-vegetarian burger.

The customer subsequently approached the AMC’s Food Department, claiming that the restaurant had committed a serious lapse in processing and delivering the order.

AMC Team Conducts Inspection

Acting on the complaint, officials from the municipal corporation carried out an inspection at the McDonald’s outlet in Naroda.

Following the inspection, the AMC sealed the restaurant and initiated further inquiries into the matter. Civic officials have not yet disclosed whether any violations of food safety norms or operational protocols were detected during the inspection.

Findings of Probe Awaited

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has not clarified the specific grounds on which the outlet was sealed. Officials said a detailed report will be prepared after the investigation is completed.

The incident has triggered concerns among customers, particularly those who follow strict dietary practices for religious, ethical or personal reasons.
