Isanpur Man Allegedly Assaulted Married Woman Repeatedly, Threatened Her With Intimate Photos

A woman from Ahmedabad has approached Isanpur police alleging that a man she knew from her neighbourhood sexually assaulted her after threatening her with harm to her two-year-old daughter. She has also alleged that he later used intimate photographs to threaten her with exposing them to her husband and in-laws.

According to the complaint, the alleged abuse continued for a prolonged period, with the accused allegedly taking the woman to hotels on multiple occasions. The woman eventually told her family about the alleged harassment and approached the police.

Police have registered a case against Mistukumar Manojkumar Sinha, a native of Kishanganj in Bihar who was staying as a tenant in Vishalnagar, and are investigating the allegations.

Acquaintance Began While Woman Was Staying At Parents’ House

The woman had moved to her parents’ home around three years ago as renovation work was being carried out at her matrimonial house. Sinha was living on the upper floor of a house belonging to her parental family, according to the complaint.

The two became acquainted during this period and exchanged phone numbers. The accused would also allegedly take the woman’s young daughter to his house to play.

In 2024, the woman went to Sinha’s house after he allegedly failed to return her daughter. She has alleged that he was alone at the time and pressured her to have a physical relationship with him.

When she refused, Sinha allegedly threatened to kill the child and sexually assaulted her.

Intimate Photographs Allegedly Used To Threaten Her

The woman has alleged that the accused took intimate photographs during the incident and later threatened to share them with her husband and in-laws.

According to her complaint, these threats were subsequently used to force her to meet him. He allegedly called her to Govindwadi and took her to a hotel near Ghodasar Bridge, where she alleges that he sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions.

Alleged Harassment Continued After She Cut Contact

The woman eventually decided to end contact with the accused and told him that she did not want to continue the relationship.

She has alleged that Sinha did not accept the decision and began following her.

On May 5, while she was travelling on her Activa, he allegedly stopped her on Mangleshwar Mahadev Road, argued with her and assaulted her.

The complaint further states that on August 30, Sinha allegedly turned up at the office of one of the woman’s relatives, where she was present. He allegedly argued with her, verbally abused her and pressured her to resume the relationship.

Family Helps Woman Approach Isanpur Police

After allegedly facing the threats and harassment for an extended period, the woman disclosed the matter to her family.

She subsequently went to Isanpur Police Station with their support and filed a complaint against Sinha.

Police have registered a case under relevant sections and initiated an investigation into the allegations. Further details are awaited.
