Four Men Attack Ahmedabad Youth With Wooden Sticks Over Past Dispute; CCTV Footage Goes Viral

Four men allegedly attacked a youth with wooden sticks in Ahmedabad’s Nana Chiloda area on October 28, reportedly over resentment about the settlement of an earlier dispute. Naroda police have registered a case against all four accused after CCTV footage of the assault surfaced.

The injured youth, identified as Hiteshbhai Mukeshbhai Bhoi, works as a driver and lives in Nana Chiloda. According to the complaint, he had an argument with his friend Vijay Arvindbhai Bhoi on October 27 over an unspecified matter. The dispute was subsequently settled.

Accused Questioned Why He Settled Earlier Dispute

However, the matter allegedly escalated the following night when Hiteshbhai was passing near Nana Chiloda crossroads towards Gokuldham Society.

The four accused, identified as Shamu Tirthraj Chauhan, Sohil Bhaiyaji, Prashant Patel and Hardik Patel, allegedly confronted him and questioned why he had settled the earlier dispute.

The argument soon turned violent, with the accused allegedly attacking Hiteshbhai with wooden sticks. Hearing the commotion, local residents gathered at the spot, following which the attackers fled.

According to the complaint, the accused held a grudge over the settlement of the previous day's dispute. They allegedly stopped Hiteshbhai on his way and started arguing with him before launching the assault.

The attackers allegedly continued hitting him with wooden sticks, leaving him seriously injured. The incident took place in a public area, and the commotion attracted the attention of nearby residents.

Gold Chain Goes Missing During Assault

Hiteshbhai also reported that his one-and-a-quarter-tola gold chain went missing during the assault. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to Ahmedabad Civil Hospital for treatment.

CCTV footage of the incident has since gone viral, showing the assault and drawing attention to the case. The footage has also brought the incident into focus as police investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Injured Youth Alleges Accused Is Policeman’s Son

In a serious allegation, the injured youth claimed that one of the accused, Shamu Chauhan, is the son of a police constable serving in the police department.

The allegation has added another dimension to the case. However, the claim about the accused's father being a police constable is based on the injured youth's statement.

Naroda police have registered a case against Shamu Tirthraj Chauhan, Sohil Bhaiyaji, Prashant Patel and Hardik Patel. Further investigation is under way to establish the circumstances of the assault and examine the allegations made by the victim.
