Security Guard Alerts BSNL Officials

BSNL divisional engineer Rameshbhai Kanjibhai Zala, who is authorised to initiate legal action on behalf of the telecom company, said he received a call from colleague Tulshidas Khatri around 2.10 am.

Khatri reportedly informed him that security guard Kamlesh Manat had spotted unidentified men stealing copper cables near the roadside.

Zala reached the spot and alerted the police after allegedly finding the men removing cable from a BSNL duct.

Accused Allegedly Posed As AMC Employees

According to the complaint, security guard Kamlesh Manat told police that the four men had approached him claiming to be AMC employees.

They allegedly used the false identity to gain access to the BSNL infrastructure before cutting and removing the cable.

The accused have been identified as Ravikant Udaybhan Sharma, 38; Vishnu Gyasiram Yadav, 38; Jitesh Jogendersingh Yadav, 24; and Rahul Jayantibhai Bharwad, 28. The FIR also mentions unidentified persons allegedly involved in the incident.

Vasna Police Probe Possible Similar Thefts
