Fire Rescue Vehicle Gets Stuck in Road Cave-in at Ahmedabad's Paldi Crossroads

An Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services rescue vehicle got stuck in a road cave-in at the busy Paldi crossroads on Friday, drawing attention to the condition of city roads following the season's first spell of rain.

The incident occurred while the rescue vehicle was passing through the Paldi junction. According to officials, the road suddenly caved in beneath the vehicle, leaving it stranded in the middle of the intersection.

Crane deployed after initial rescue efforts fail

Emergency personnel and civic authorities initially attempted to free the vehicle using available resources. However, after the efforts failed, a crane was brought to the spot to lift and pull the rescue vehicle out of the cave-in.

The recovery operation took some time before the vehicle was successfully removed.

Traffic movement affected

The incident briefly disrupted traffic at the busy Paldi crossroads as authorities carried out the recovery operation. Commuters experienced delays until the stranded vehicle was removed and normal movement resumed.

Officials confirmed that no injuries were reported in the incident and the fire rescue vehicle was pulled out without sustaining any major damage.
