Drunk Man Allegedly Attacks Customer, Damages Phones At Ahmedabad Paan Parlour

Sarkhej Police have registered a case against an unidentified man who allegedly abused staff, assaulted a customer and damaged two mobile phones at a paan parlour on Ahmedabad’s Sindhu Bhavan Road late Tuesday night.

Driver Allegedly Drives Car Dangerously Near Customer

The incident occurred around 11 pm on August 11 at Richie Rich Paan Parlour near Hotel Taj Sky.

According to the complaint filed by parlour owner Bhavik Sureshbhai Gajjar, 36, one of his employees, Raghuvir, called him and reported that an unidentified man had entered the parlour, abused staff and started an argument.

Gajjar reached the spot and was told that the man was sitting in a white Skoda parked outside. When Gajjar questioned him about his alleged behaviour, the man reportedly became angry and reversed the car.

A regular customer, Divyaraj Singh Gohil, allegedly approached the vehicle and asked the driver to check behind before reversing. Police said the driver then argued with Gohil and drove dangerously close to him before hitting a divider pillar.

Customer Allegedly Assaulted During Altercation

The confrontation continued after the driver got out of the car. During the argument, the man allegedly struck Gohil on the hand.

The complaint further states that a person identified as Raja later called a parlour employee and claimed to know the unidentified man. Gajjar allegedly handed his mobile phone to the man so he could speak to Raja.

Instead, the accused allegedly threw the phone on the ground, damaging it. Another mobile phone was also allegedly damaged during the incident.

Beer Can, Liquor Bottle Found In Car

Gajjar told police that the man appeared to be intoxicated. A beer can and a liquor bottle were allegedly found inside the Skoda.

The accused also allegedly threatened Gajjar, warning that he would kill him, damage the Richie Rich parlour and prevent it from reopening.

Sarkhej Police Probe Driver's Identity

Sarkhej Police have begun efforts to identify the driver and investigate the allegations.

Further action is expected after the accused is identified and questioned by police.
