Danilimda Youth Arrested for Allegedly Sexually Assaulting 16-Year-Old Girl in Isanpur

Isanpur police have arrested a Danilimda resident for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl repeatedly over the past year after promising to marry her.

Minor Allegedly Lured With Promise of Marriage

According to the complaint, the girl, who lives in the Shah-e-Alam area of Isanpur, became acquainted with Imtiyaz alias Babu Sheikh after he visited a neighbour’s house.

Police said the accused allegedly developed a relationship with the minor and promised to marry her. He allegedly called her to the neighbour’s house and repeatedly engaged in sexual acts with her over the following year.

Mother Approaches Accused’s Family

The matter came to light when the girl began crying one morning and told her mother about the relationship and the alleged sexual abuse.

The girl’s mother then approached Imtiyaz and his family, seeking an explanation and questioning him about his promise to marry her daughter.

According to the complaint, Imtiyaz and his family denied the allegations. He allegedly refused to acknowledge the minor and drove her mother away from the house.

POCSO Case Registered

After speaking to her daughter again, the mother approached Isanpur Police Station and filed a complaint.

Police registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and relevant rape provisions. Imtiyaz alias Babu Sheikh was arrested, and further legal proceedings have been initiated.
