Bomb Threat Note Found on Bengaluru-Ahmedabad Indigo Flight, Take-Off Delayed by 5 Hrs

Panic gripped passengers aboard a Bengaluru-Ahmedabad Indigo flight after a note claiming that there was a bomb on the aircraft was found inside one of its lavatories. The threat later turned out to be a hoax, but the incident delayed the flight by nearly five hours.

The flight, scheduled to take off at 8 pm on Thursday, was preparing for departure when the handwritten note was discovered.

According to reports, the note found in the aircraft’s washroom read, “Don’t go. Bomb hai! Please.”

The message immediately triggered a security alert, prompting authorities to launch emergency protocols and halt the flight’s departure.

Bomb squad, security agencies conduct checks

Following the discovery of the note, the Bomb Threat Assessment Committee carried out a thorough inspection of the aircraft.

All passengers were deboarded and asked to remain at the terminal while their baggage was screened. Security agencies conducted extensive checks inside the aircraft and examined all luggage to rule out any threat.

Threat turns out to be a hoax

After several hours of inspection, officials found nothing suspicious on board. Security agencies subsequently declared the bomb threat to be a hoax.

Once the aircraft received clearance from all agencies, the Bengaluru-Ahmedabad flight finally took off at 1.21 am.

Investigation underway

Authorities have launched an investigation to identify the person responsible for placing the note inside the aircraft’s lavatory.

The incident comes amid heightened security measures at airports across the country, with officials taking every threat seriously to ensure passenger safety.
