Bikers Continued Chase Despite Apology
Sureshbhai Bhimjibhai Patel, 57, a resident of Bhakti Bungalows near Bhakti Circle in Nikol, runs a thermocol factory in Gamij village near Dahegam.
On Friday at around 8.30 pm, Patel was returning home from his factory in his Fortuner. Near Chudel Mata Temple on the Kathwada-Huka Road, his car passed through water accumulated on the road, splashing water on three men travelling ahead on a motorcycle.
Patel stopped the car and apologised to them. Despite this, the three men, along with another biker who approached them, allegedly began following his vehicle.
Trader Attacked After Car Hits Cow
The chase continued until Patel reached near Neelkanth Flats, where his car collided with a cow sitting on the road.
When Patel stepped out of the vehicle, the men allegedly attacked him from behind with an unidentified object, striking him on the head. He fell into the mud following the blow.
The four men then allegedly assaulted him with fists and kicks and threatened to kill him.
Attackers Flee as Locals Gather
People nearby gathered after hearing the commotion. Patel also called his driver, Vishnubhai Rabari, to the spot.
The attackers fled from the scene as more people gathered. Patel, who had suffered injuries, was taken to hospital for treatment.
