AMTS Bus Catches Fire In Ahmedabad's Bapunagar, 40-45 Passengers Escape Unhurt

An AMTS bus carrying around 40 to 45 passengers caught fire in Ahmedabad's Bapunagar-Hirawadi area on Monday, triggering panic among commuters. The driver acted swiftly and evacuated the passengers, helping avert a major accident. No injuries or casualties were reported.

Fire Breaks Out Near D-Mart

The incident occurred when the number 300 AMTS bus, which had started its journey from Maninagar, caught fire near D-Mart in Bapunagar. The fire is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit in the bus's wiring.

Fire Brigade Brings Blaze Under Control

The Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services department was alerted following the incident. Fire personnel quickly reached the spot and brought the blaze under control.

Thanks to the driver's timely action, all passengers were safely evacuated from the bus. No casualties were reported in the incident.

Traffic movement in the area, which was briefly affected following the fire, has since returned to normal.
