The Ahmedabad Division also recorded strong freight performance during August 2026, loading 4.4651 million tonnes, or around 44.65 lakh tonnes, of freight during the month. The loading generated revenue of Rs 631.31 crore for the railway.
During August, the division recorded an average interchange of 218.84 trains per day, an increase of 2.5% compared with the previous year. Interchange at DFC points also increased to an average of 100.81 trains per day, registering an 11.8% rise.
The division also operated 365 long-haul trains during the month.

Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Ved Prakash congratulated the entire Ahmedabad Division team, including the operating and commercial departments as well as officials and employees of DFCCIL, on the achievement.
