Following the complaint, Shahar Kotda police investigated the case, arrested Ghanchi and subsequently filed a charge sheet before the Special POCSO Court.
During the trial, Public Prosecutor D.M. Thakor presented 18 documents and examined 12 witnesses to establish the prosecution's case.
After considering the evidence, the court convicted Ghanchi and sentenced him to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment, besides ordering ₹4 lakh compensation for the survivor.
