Ahmedabad-Mundra Direct Flight Service Begins; Star Air To Operate Three Days A Week

Direct air connectivity between Ahmedabad and Mundra, two key economic centres of Gujarat, began on Monday with Star Air launching a three-days-a-week service in collaboration with the Adani Group.

The new route is expected to provide faster connectivity for traders, industrialists and professionals travelling between Ahmedabad and the Mundra Port region.

Flights To Operate On Mondays, Wednesdays, And Fridays

Star Air will operate flights between the two cities every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Flight S5 628 will depart from Ahmedabad at 6.40 am and arrive in Mundra at 7.30 am. The return flight, S5 629, will leave Mundra at 6.40 pm and reach Ahmedabad at 7.30 pm.

Tickets for the new service are available through Star Air and leading travel platforms.

Faster Connectivity To Mundra Port

Mundra is among the country's largest private ports and serves as an important centre of Gujarat's industrial and logistics network.

Ahmedabad, meanwhile, is a major hub for trade, finance, education and industry. The direct flight is expected to offer traders, entrepreneurs and professionals a quicker travel option between the two economic centres.

The service could particularly benefit businesses and industrialists associated with Mundra Port who frequently travel between the two cities.

Star Air Connects 32 Destinations

According to Star Air, the airline currently connects 32 destinations across India and operates a fleet of eight Embraer E175 aircraft.

The airline has set a target of expanding its fleet to 25 aircraft over the next 36 months.

Ahmedabad-Mundra Flight Schedule

The launch of the direct service is expected to strengthen air connectivity between Ahmedabad and the rapidly developing Mundra industrial and port region.
