Ahmedabad Man Dies After Vomiting Blood Hours After Fight In Amraiwadi; Two Booked

A 24-year-old man died after an alleged physical altercation near the Mahalakshminagar gate in Ahmedabad’s Amraiwadi area, after his condition deteriorated hours later and he began vomiting blood. The deceased, identified as Akshay, died while being shifted from LG Hospital to Civil Hospital early Friday morning. Based on a complaint filed by his sister, Amraiwadi police have registered a case of culpable homicide against two men and launched an investigation.

Argument Escalates Into Physical Fight

According to the complaint, Akshay lived alone in a four-storey residential building in Mahalakshminagar following the death of his parents.

At around 7.30 pm on Thursday, Akshay was near the locality’s gate when Paresh alias Latif Sagathiya, a resident of Jogmaynagar, arrived with a friend. The two allegedly got into an argument with Akshay over an unknown issue, which escalated into a physical altercation.

During the scuffle, Akshay fell to the ground before returning home on his own. At the time, the incident appeared to be a minor fight.

Youth Begins Vomiting Blood Early Morning

At around 4.30 am on Friday, Akshay suddenly began vomiting blood. His friend Nayan called a 108 ambulance and rushed him to LG Hospital for treatment.

At around 6.30 am, Nayan informed Akshay’s sister, Tulsiben, who lives in Vatva. She reached the hospital with her husband, where doctors found Akshay’s condition critical and advised that he be shifted to Civil Hospital for further treatment.

However, Akshay died on the way while being transported to Civil Hospital in an ambulance. Doctors at Civil Hospital subsequently declared him dead.

Police Register Culpable Homicide Case

Following a complaint lodged by Tulsiben against Paresh and his friend, Amraiwadi police registered a case of culpable homicide and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Akshay’s death.

The exact cause of death and the nature of the injuries sustained during the altercation remain to be established through medical findings and the police investigation.

What Appeared To Be A Minor Fight Turned Fatal By Morning

Although Akshay managed to walk home after the altercation, his health deteriorated several hours later. The physical assault and his fall may have caused serious internal injuries or bleeding, but the precise cause of his death has not yet been confirmed.

Police are investigating the altercation and the sequence of events that led to the 24-year-old’s death.
