Woman Alleges Assault During Two Examinations

At around 6.30 pm on October 2, Patel allegedly entered the woman's room and closed the door from inside. He asked for permission to examine her abdomen, after which he allegedly lowered her inner garment twice during the examination.
The woman alleged that Patel then touched her private parts with an ungloved finger and subsequently touched her anal area with the same finger. She further alleged that he touched her private parts again before leaving the room.
Police Register FIR, Doctor Sent To Central Jail
The woman subsequently approached the police, following which Vastrapur police registered an FIR under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
Police arrested Patel at around 7 pm on October 4 and produced him before a court. He was subsequently remanded to judicial custody and sent to Central Jail.
