Ahmedabad Builder Bhavesh Amin Wanted in ₹300-Crore Land Dispute, Lookout Notice Issued

Ahmedabad-based builder Bhavesh Amin, who is allegedly involved in a dispute over land associated with Tensile Steel Company in Vadodara, remains wanted in the case and is reportedly in the United States. Police have issued a lookout notice against him as the investigation continues.

The disputed property is estimated to be worth around ₹300 crore. The Vadodara Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) is currently questioning builder Amit Mukeshbhai Shah, who was recently arrested and is on remand, while also verifying documents related to the alleged land transaction.

Case Filed Over Alleged Bogus Lease Deed

The case relates to land belonging to Tensile Steel Company in the Manjalpur area of Vadodara.

According to the complaint filed by Sanjay Patel, who holds an 87% share in the company, the land was allegedly leased out for ₹10 crore on the basis of a forged lease deed.

Based on the complaint, police registered a case against former Tensile Steel director Amit Mukeshbhai Shah, Ahmedabad-based Bhavesh Amin of Shreem Construction, who allegedly took the land on lease, and six others.

Five Arrested, One Accused Dead

As part of the investigation, police have arrested Kishor Krishnaveli, Naresh Kanaiyalal Rana, Mahesh Babubhai Patel, Jaimin Jayantbhai Gandhi and Bhumiṣṭh Kanjibhai Makwana.

Another accused, Suresh Ganpatbhai Rajput, has died, according to police.

Amit Shah, who is currently on remand, is being questioned by the DCB. Investigators are also verifying documents and examining the alleged transaction to establish the exact sequence of events.

Bhavesh Amin Remains Wanted

Bhavesh Amin, who resides in the Thaltej area of Ahmedabad, is yet to be arrested. Police have reportedly learnt that he is currently in the United States.

A lookout notice has been issued against him to assist authorities in tracing him and preventing him from evading the investigation.

Previous Land Disputes in Vadodara

Police have also found that Amin had previously faced legal proceedings in connection with property disputes in Vadodara.

A case relating to a property in the Shreem Shalin area of Alkapuri was registered at the Sayajigunj police station. However, the complaint was subsequently quashed by the court, according to the information available to investigators.

Legal proceedings were also reportedly initiated in connection with land disputes in the Makarpura and Sama areas of Vadodara. One of the earlier matters was reportedly settled.

The DCB is now examining Amin's alleged role in the Tensile Steel land dispute along with the other accused and is continuing its investigation into the documents and transactions involved.
