Ahmedabad Airport Flight Cancellations Leave Passengers Stranded

Passengers were left inconvenienced at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Monday after several flights operated by Star Air, IndiGo and Akasa Air were cancelled, disrupting services on the Diu and Kolkata sectors.

The cancellations triggered frustration among passengers, with some alleging that they did not receive satisfactory assistance or clear information about alternative travel arrangements from airline staff.

Passengers Angry After Star Air Flight Cancelled

Star Air flight S5 424, which operates from Ahmedabad to Goa via Diu, was cancelled, leaving passengers stranded at the airport.

Passengers claimed they approached senior airline officials seeking alternative arrangements but did not receive a satisfactory response. They alleged that the lack of clear information and assistance added to their distress.

Diu, Kolkata Flights Also Hit

The disruption was not limited to Star Air.

• Star Air: Both the morning Ahmedabad-Diu flight and the evening return service were cancelled.
• IndiGo: The airline’s Ahmedabad-Diu flight and return service were also cancelled.
• Akasa Air: The Ahmedabad-Kolkata flight and its return service were cancelled, reportedly due to technical reasons.
  
  The cancellations led to inconvenience for passengers travelling on the affected routes, with those stranded at the airport seeking clarity from the airlines on alternative arrangements.
