During the search, officers allegedly recovered 99.69 grams of mephedrone valued at ₹2.99 lakh.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of senior ANTF officials as part of a drive against the sale and distribution of illegal narcotic substances in the city.
Phones, Cash And Other Items Seized
Police also seized three mobile phones valued at around ₹45,000, a railway ticket, an ATM card, a black bag, a pair of trousers and a shirt, a transparent plastic bag and ₹150 in cash.
The total estimated value of the seized items, including the suspected contraband, was around ₹3.44 lakh, police said.
Munja was arrested at the spot and booked under relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
Second Accused Yet To Be Arrested
Police have also named Shanu alias Sanaya Bishnoi, a resident of Rajasthan's Phalodi area, as a second accused in the case. He has not yet been arrested.
The ANTF is investigating the source of the suspected mephedrone, its intended destination and the alleged network through which it was being supplied.
The further investigation has been handed over to the Technical Surveillance Team of the ANTF Gandhinagar Zone.
Investigators are examining the seized mobile phones and other material to identify alleged associates and determine whether the consignment was part of a larger narcotics supply network between Rajasthan and Ahmedabad.
