AAP Launches Mission 2027 Booth-Level Organisation Drive In Gujarat, Announces Over 2,400 Office-Bearers

The Aam Aadmi Party has launched its organisational expansion campaign in Gujarat ahead of the 2027 elections, announcing more than 2,400 office-bearers and planning to strengthen its presence up to the booth level across the state.

AAP Gujarat State Organisation Secretary and chief spokesperson Dr Karan Barot said the party would focus on taking its organisation to villages and establishing direct contact with people at the grassroots.

Meeting Of 182 Assembly Constituency Teams In Ahmedabad

Barot said a key organisational meeting will be held in Ahmedabad on September 7 under the leadership of Gujarat in-charge Gopal Rai and State President Isudan Gadhvi.

In-charges and organisation ministers from all 182 Assembly constituencies, along with state office-bearers and newly appointed functionaries, are expected to attend the meeting.

State General Secretary Manoj Sorathiya, farmer leader Praveen Ram and other senior party leaders, including Gopal Italia, are also expected to be present.

The meeting will focus on strengthening the party's organisational structure and expanding its reach ahead of the 2027 Gujarat Assembly elections.

AAP Says Focus Will Be On Booth-Level Contact

Barot said the party's new organisational structure was intended to take its work from villages to individual booths and ensure that people's concerns reach party workers directly.

He described the appointments as an assignment of responsibility rather than merely the announcement of office-bearers.

According to Barot, the newly appointed functionaries will act as a link between the party and people at the grassroots level, with booth workers expected to take up local issues and work with residents.

Party Highlights Opposition Role In Gujarat

Barot claimed that AAP had consistently raised issues concerning students, unemployment, farmers, education, healthcare, workers and inflation in Gujarat.

He also referred to the party's protests over issues such as drought, the 108 ambulance service and alleged attacks on people participating in peaceful gatherings in Ahmedabad.

On prohibition-related issues, Barot said AAP workers had conducted what the party described as "Janata Raids" following incidents of alleged illicit liquor and hooch tragedies, despite cases being registered against some party leaders and workers.

He said the party had also provided legal assistance to people involved in protests and other public issues.

Mission 2027 To Focus On Strengthening Organisation

Barot said the Ahmedabad meeting would discuss how to make the party's organisation stronger before the 2027 elections and improve direct communication between party workers and people.

The discussions will also focus on expanding the booth-level network and ensuring that newly appointed office-bearers remain actively engaged with local issues.

"The politics of Aam Aadmi Party does not begin at the doors of power, it begins at the doors of the people of Gujarat," Barot said, reiterating the party's stated focus on grassroots mobilisation.
