19-Year-Old’s Relationship Sparks Family Clash In Ahmedabad, Four Injured In Danilimda

A dispute over a 19-year-old woman's alleged relationship with a man escalated into a violent clash in Ahmedabad's Danilimda area, leaving four people injured, including a man who was allegedly stabbed in the abdomen, police said.

The incident took place around 3.30 pm on August 24 after the woman's relatives went to the house of her alleged boyfriend, Bilal, to look for her.

Woman Allegedly Went To Meet Boyfriend

According to the complaint, the 19-year-old woman, identified as Parveen Banu, had gone to meet Bilal on the evening of August 23 after he allegedly called her near Khanjiwada Masjid.

She did not return home thereafter.

Her aunt, Saiduniya Hamidkhan Pathan, 44, reportedly went to Bilal's house around 10 am on August 24 to enquire about her whereabouts. The family allegedly told her that Parveen Banu was not there.

The complainant and her sister returned to the house around 3.30 pm, suspecting that the woman was inside. They allegedly found her there, following which an argument broke out.

Argument Escalates Into Violence

The dispute reportedly intensified after the women questioned Bilal's family about why they had earlier denied that Parveen Banu was at the house.

The complainant's son Farhan Khan, her sister Jaibunisha and nephew Armaanbhai Dasadiya subsequently arrived at the spot.

According to the complaint, Bilal, his father Mohammad Ikrar Ansari and Intezar Ansari allegedly joined the altercation carrying a wooden stick and an iron pipe.

Bilal allegedly struck Armaanbhai on the left side of his head with the wooden stick, while Intezar allegedly hit Jaibunisha on the forehead with an iron pipe.

Mohammad Ikrar allegedly attacked Farhan on the left side of his head with an iron pipe.

Man Allegedly Stabbed During Clash

The complaint further alleges that an unidentified man, whom the complainant said she could identify, stabbed Farhan on the left side of his abdomen with a knife.

The man allegedly threatened Farhan before fleeing from the spot.

The injured were taken to LG Hospital for treatment. Jaibunisha and Armaanbhai were treated and discharged, while Farhan remained admitted with head and abdominal injuries.

Police Probe Underway

Danilimda police have registered a case against the three named accused and an unidentified person.

Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the confrontation and are attempting to identify the person accused of stabbing Farhan.
