The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) along with the South Asian Association for Gastronomy (SAAG) will host an International Food Festival - 'Food for Thought Fest' from November 13 to 16 at the Sabarmati Riverfront Event Centre. It will cater food lovers and entertainment enthusiasts, drawing participants from India, Nepal, Spain, and the Netherlands for a truly international touch.

The festival will feature live cooking workshops and food shows by South Asian master chefs. Two themed food courts—'A Taste of Luxury’, highlighting signature dishes from luxury hotels, and 'The Regional Flavour’, serving diverse regional cuisines in street-food style—will anchor the event.

Three dedicated pavilions are also planned, this includes the Luxury Pavilion for premium hotel offerings, the Spiritual Pavilion, offering the devotional ‘Bhog Prasad’ from Puri's Jagannath Temple and the Coffee Pavilion, hosting live roasting, brewing, workshops, and educational sessions for coffee enthusiasts.

Key participants include food critic and writer Rashmi Uday Singh, chefs Abhijit Saha and Gautam Maharshi, Nepalese writer Rohini Rana, and Padma Shri awardee Dr Pushpesh Pant. Visitors can discover new dishes through master chef interactions and enjoy family-oriented informative entertainment.

The event provides an inspirational platform for hotel management students, food bloggers, and entrepreneurs, with networking opportunities, learning experiences, and insights into South Asian food traditions, techniques, and trends.
